Hyderabad, April 14 -- The 135th birth anniversary of Bharat Ratna Dr B R Ambedkar was celebrated with great fervour and enthusiasm across Telangana on Tuesday, with the state government organising the main event at the 125-foot Ambedkar statue at the HMDA Grounds here.
Deputy Chief Minister Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka and TPCC President Mahesh Kumar Goud jointly paid floral tributes at the towering statue, marking the occasion with solemnity and pride. A special brochure aimed at taking Ambedkar's ideals closer to the people was also released during the event.
