Jammu, June 23 -- The Commandos of National Security Guard (NSG) along with Special Operation Group (SOG) men of Jammu and Kashmir Police on Tuesday conducted a security mock drill here at the Bhagwati Nagar based Yatri Niwas ahead of Shri Amarnath Yatra starting from July 3.
"Security arrangements are well in place and to ensure the safety of the pilgrims, mock drills are conducted from time to time at the base camp and the adjoining areas before the start of the yatra," said an official.
He said that today the National Security Guard (NSG) Commandos intensified their preparedness at the Shri Amarnath base camp.
"Security forces in Jammu are on high alert ahead of the Amarnath Yatra, scheduled to begin on July 3," said officials.
