Jammu, June 24 -- Ahead of the annual Shri Amarnath Yatra starting from July 3, the Jammu and Kashmir Police have started the verification of the tenants in the city area, especially in localities adjoining the Bhagwati Nagar-based Yatri Niwas.

Official sources here on Wednesday said that the security forces have intensified the security-related initiatives as the yatra is scheduled to begin from July 3, and the police have also started verifying tenants residing in Jammu City.

"Jammu Police will create a database of all tenants residing in the city, especially those staying in the localities close to the Yatri Niwas," they said.
