New Delhi, May 31 -- Delhi Police have arrested Ashish Bakkarwala, the son of alleged carjacker Manoj Bakkarwala, following an exchange of fire in the Mundka area of Outer Delhi, sources told UNI.
The exchange of fire took place in the wee hours of Sunday.
According to sources, a semi-automatic pistol was recovered from Ashish's possession during the operation.
He is suspected to be involved in several recent firing incidents reported in the Kanjhawala, Mundka, and Ranhola areas.
Police sources said the arrest was made after a brief gunfight, following which the accused was overpowered and taken into custody.
