Chhapra (Bihar), Jan. 25 -- In an alleged case of medical negligence from Bihar, a woman and her new born baby died just after delivery in a private hospital in Marhaura police station area of Saran district in Bihar. The woman, Taramunni Devi (30) and her newborn baby died immediately after delivery resulting in angry family staging a protest with the dead bodies in the private hospital premises.
Police said here on Sunday that Taramunni Devi, wife of Sandeep Sharma, a resident of Bhataura village under Taraiya police station area, was taken to the Marhaura Government Hospital after she experienced labour pains. An ASHA worker present there referred her to RPC Hospital, located on Station Malgodown Road, for better treatment.
