Thiruvananthapuram, May 27 -- A fresh controversy has emerged over alleged disappearance of gold and precious ornaments from the Lord Sree Padmanabhaswamy Temple, with reports indicating that police have flagged serious concerns regarding the safeguarding of the temple's invaluable treasures.
Around 78 grams of gold donated by devotees and a diamond ornament known as "Vaira Nama" are stated to be missing from the temple inventory. The matter is being described as highly sensitive, prompting the State Police Chief to reportedly submit a detailed report to the Home Secretary highlighting the situation.
