Ashok RainaDharamshala, June 30 -- A political controversy has erupted in Dharamshala ahead of the July 1 election for the Mayor and Deputy Mayor of the Municipal Corporation, with a complaint being submitted to the Kangra Deputy Commissioner alleging encroachment on government land by three newly-elected Congress councillors and a former Congress candidate.

The complainants have sought an impartial inquiry into the allegations and demanded legal action if the accused are found guilty. They alleged that the Congress leaders had illegally occupied government land and carried out construction on it.
