Prayagraj, Aug. 24 -- In a stern note, the Allahabad High Court today again summoned the Uttar Pradesh DGP and Advocate General on September 1 in connection with the case related to the bail application of Pushpraj Singh, alias Bablu, of Mahoba.

Earlier, the court had summoned the DGP at the previous hearing on August 19, citing sluggishness of the government machinery.

Today, during the hearing, ADG Zone Prayagraj, Jyoti Narayan, appeared before the High Court.

The hearing took place before a single bench of Justice Sameer Jain.

The government advocate informed the court that they had sent two letters, but despite this, no one appeared to file a counter-affidavit.

The High Court stated that this was a complete disrespect to the court....
