Prayagraj, May 18 -- Allahabad High Court on Monday granted bail to the remaining six accused of the total 14 involved in the Iftar Party on the Ganga River case.

Authorities had arrested 14 individuals after a viral video showed the group consuming non-vegetarian food on a boat and discarding leftovers into the sacred river, prompting legal action for public nuisance and hurting religious sentiments. The police had registered an FIR against 14 people in this controversial case and sent them all to jail.

The court granted bail on the basis of an apology by all the accused in their affidavits.

The order was passed by a single bench of Justice Rajiv Lochan Shukla.
