Bhubaneswar, Aug. 31 -- Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi today directed officials to make all urban areas of the state pothole-free and ensure closure of open drains by April 2026.
The Chief Minister gave these instructions while addressing the State-level Local Self-Government Day celebrations.
Greeting the people on the occasion, Majhi said: "We dream of building a prosperous Odisha by 2036.
By April next year, there should be no complaints of pothole-ridden roads in urban areas." He added that by April 2026, every village must issue a self-certification declaring their area pothole-free.
