Lucknow, July 10 -- In a major action in the case of the massive fire that killed 15 students on June 25 in Sector D of Aliganj in Uttar Pradesh's capital Lucknow, the Lucknow Development Authority (LDA) Court has approved the demolition of the disputed building.
According to the LDA, the demolition process will begin soon.
LDA Vice President Prathamesh Kumar stated here on Friday that an investigation revealed that the building's layout was approved for residential use, but commercial activities and coaching institutes were being conducted within the building. Furthermore, the building was constructed contrary to the approved layout.
