New Delhi, April 8 -- In a significant push to strengthen India's aluminium ecosystem, the Aluminium Extrusion Manufacturers Association of India (ALEMAI) on Tuesday launched the 'Aluminium Bharat' initiative, aimed at addressing key industry challenges and positioning the country as a global hub for high-value aluminium products.
The initiative was formally unveiled by union Minister of State for Commerce and Industry Jitin Prasada, who emphasised the need for resilient domestic manufacturing in the face of shifting global trade dynamics.
He said the initiative reflects India's intent to move up the global value chain while ensuring a level playing field for domestic manufacturers.
