Kolkata, April 12 -- Amid mounting political heat ahead of the Assembly elections, the Am Janata Unnayan Party (AJUP) on Sunday sought to clarify its position over a controversial video purportedly featuring party leader Humayun Kabir, claiming that the clip had been "selectively edited" to malign him.
Addressing a press conference, party spokesperson Kamal Hossain asserted that the full, unedited version of the video would be made public soon. "The video that has triggered widespread controversy has been tampered with. Portions were cut and edited before being circulated to defame Humayun Kabir," he said.
