Ranchi, July 4 -- AJSU Party on Saturday adopted a series of resolutions on women's empowerment, political participation, economic self-reliance and safety at its state-level women's convention, where party president Sudesh Mahto announced plans to strengthen women leadership from the state level to the booth level.
Addressing the convention at Tana Bhagat Indoor Stadium here, Mahto said AJSU was committed to ensuring greater political and social participation of women. He claimed the party had introduced 50 per cent reservation for women in panchayat elections and accused the Hemant Soren government of neglecting women's safety.
