Pune, Nov. 8 -- Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar today broke his silence over the Koregaon Park land dispute case, asserting that he has never violated the law in his 35-year political career.
In this case, the truth must come out - Dhoodh ka dhoodh aur pani ka pani hona chahiye, he said while addressing the media for the first time on the issue here.
Pawar recalled that similar allegations were made against him in 2009, but no evidence was found. "I had no knowledge of this particular land deal. Had I been aware, I would have directed officials to strictly follow legal procedures," he clarified.
