New Delhi, July 28 -- Air India's transformation journey could take as long as a decade, significantly longer than the airline's original five-year revival roadmap, with Tata Sons Chairman N. Chandrasekaran citing multiple operational and structural challenges that continue to weigh on the carrier's progress.
In the Tata Sons annual report, Chandrasekaran said the airline's revival is a long-term exercise that extends beyond financial restructuring and requires rebuilding several core aspects of the business.
