Bhubaneswar, July 15 -- AIIMS Bhubaneswar now treats nearly 5,500 outpatients every day, underscoring its emergence as a major referral centre in eastern India.
Over the past year, the institute has significantly strengthened its tertiary healthcare capabilities with the launch of a comprehensive Liver Transplant Programme and the commissioning of a state-of-the-art robotic surgical system.
Officials said the institute has successfully performed more than 100 robotic surgeries, marking a major milestone in minimally invasive surgery across multiple specialities.
