Bhubaneswar, July 10 -- All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), Bhubaneswar has achieved a significant milestone by successfully performing 100 robotic-assisted surgeries, becoming the first government-funded healthcare institution in Odisha to establish a fully functional, multi-disciplinary robotic surgery programme.
The achievement marks a major advancement in public healthcare, enabling underprivileged and middle-income patients to access world-class robotic surgical care at highly subsidized government rates, significantly lower than those charged by private hospitals.
