New Delhi, Nov. 10 -- The All India Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (AIADMK) has moved the Supreme Court supporting the Election Commission of India's (ECI) decision to conduct a Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls in Tamil Nadu.

The party has asserted that the revision exercise is essential to maintain the sanctity of elections and prevent large-scale voter fraud.

The AIADMK is the first political party to approach the Supreme Court in favour of the SIR, which is under challenge by the Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK), the ruling party in the State. The DMK's petition against the SIR is slated for hearing before the apex court tomorrow.
