San Francisco, Sept. 18 -- The debate over the risks posed by artificial intelligence has intensified in recent months, fuelled by a series of incidents and increasingly stark warnings from people working in the industry.
This comes as Anthropic reported that its Claude chatbot is now leading 26% of the company's model research and development work. Anthropic said this means Claude can complete most of a given task "end-to-end from a high-level prompt" while remaining under human supervision. The model is not yet operating fully autonomously.
