Nagpur, Feb. 28 -- K. V. Viswanathan, judge of the Supreme Court of India on Saturday asserted that Artificial Intelligence (AI) cannot replace the essential responsibilities of lawyers, emphasizing that a well-trained legal mind will always outperform any algorithm.
Speaking at the fourth convocation ceremony of Maharashtra National Law University in Nagpur, Justice Viswanathan addressed graduating students on the evolving relationship between law and technology.
The ceremony was attended by former Chief Justice of India Bhushan Gavai as the guest of honour.
Highlighting the demands of modern legal practice, Justice Viswanathan noted that 21st-century lawyers must acquire technological competence.
