Guwahati, March 10 -- Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma on Tuesday ceremonially distributed the benefits of Orunodoi 3.0 during a function here, transferring Rs. 9000 to 40 lakh beneficiaries, - the largest DBT scheme in the state ever.
Terming the day a historic one for beneficiaries of the Orunodoi scheme, the Chief Minister said at the Jyoti Bishnu Antarjatik Kala mandir that the government not only plans to increase the coverage of the scheme to 100 per cent eligible women but also wants to make arrangements for free distribution of sugar, salt, dal and mustard oils if the BJP forms the next government in the state.
