New Delhi, June 17 -- West Bengal Finance Minister Swapan Dasgupta on Wednesday held a key pre-Budget consultation with NITI Aayog Vice-Chairman Ashok Lahiri in New Delhi, with discussions centering on the state's economic health, development priorities and strategies for fiscal revival ahead of the presentation of the West Bengal Budget later this month.
According to sources, the meeting reviewed the overall financial condition of the state and explored development opportunities that could help accelerate growth and investment in West Bengal. The discussions took place ahead of the presentation of state Budget scheduled on June 22.
