Kolkata, March 1 -- With its eye firmly on the 2026 West Bengal Assembly elections, the BJP has sharpened its focus on Bhabanipur, the constituency represented by Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee, in a bid to mount a formidable challenge on her home turf.

Leader of the Opposition in the Assembly, Suvendu Adhikari, has set up the dedicated "war room" in the constituency to spearhead the party's campaign.

Incidentally, Banerjee's home is located in Kalighat, which is part of the Bhabanipur constituency in South Kolkata.

According to local BJP sources, the office - located on the ground floor of a house in Ward 70 under the Kolkata Municipal Corporation - will coordinate electoral strategy and booth-level management across the Assembly segmen...
