Chittoor (Andhra Pradesh), April 7 -- An agrivoltaic solar project has been launched at Thirumala Raju Puram (Palyam) in Chittoor district under "Project Chittoor," a rural regeneration initiative by the Atria Group in partnership with Atria Renewable Private Limited.
The project spans around 600 acres with a targeted agrivoltaic capacity of about 6 MW. The initiative aims to establish a scalable model where food and energy are produced simultaneously, enhancing farmer incomes and strengthening rural infrastructure.
The project introduces field-integrated agrivoltaic systems, where solar panels are installed above active farmland, enabling simultaneous crop cultivation and clean energy generation, the company said in a release here.
