Nashik, March 31 -- Divisional Commissioner Dr. Praveen Gedam has issued instructions to all concerned agencies to take swift action to make the Godavari River pollution-free. He further directed the Zilla Parishad and the Municipal Corporation administration to curb encroachments within the riverbed and to implement concrete measures for the eradication of aquatic weeds from the river channel.
A meeting of the committee appointed to address Godavari River pollution was held today under the chairmanship of Divisional Commissioner Dr. Gedam.
