Agartala, Oct. 26 -- Daily direct flight service between Agartala and Bagdogra of North Bengal has commenced from today, while air connectivity between Agartala and Silchar in southern Assam is scheduled to begin on Oct 28 nearly after 30 years.

Airport Authority of India (AAI) officials said that the maiden flight of Air India Express from Agartala flew to Bagdogra at 1810 hours, which will land at Bagdogra at 1920 hrs. The flight will start from Bagdogra for Agartala at 1630 hrs and will arrive at 1740 hrs.
