New Delhi, July 29 -- The BCCI has decided not to renew the contract of India's fielding coach T Dilip, bringing his five-year stint with the national team to an end.
His departure, following Ryan ten Doeschate's recent exit as assistant coach, marks another significant change to Gautam Gambhir's backroom staff ahead of the Sri Lanka tour.
BCCI secretary Devajit Saikia has confirmed that Dilip's one-year contract extension had come to an end, making the recent white-ball tour of England his final assignment with the Indian team.
"Yes. His (Dilip's) one-year extension has ended," Saikia confirmed.
