Chennai, May 28 -- A day after meeting Prime Minister Narendra Modi and union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman at New Delhi and took up issues concerning the state and pressed for allocation of funds and release of pending dues, Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Vijay returned to Chennai on Thursday afternoon.

Though he was also scheduled to meet union Home Minister Amit Shah and host of Congress leaders and Left Party leaders, who were providing key support to his government back in TN and enabled him to sail through the Trust vote, he returned without meeting them.
