Bhubaneswar, July 24 -- Hours after the union Cabinet approved amendments to the Public Examinations (Prevention of Unfair Means) Act, 2024, the Biju Janata Dal (BJD) on Friday said tougher laws alone would not stop question paper leaks unless backed by strict and impartial implementation.

Addressing a press conference, BJD spokesperson and media coordinator Dr. Lenin Mohanty said the country has witnessed more than 150 question paper leak incidents over the past 12 years, triggering widespread student protests and exposing serious gaps in the examination system.
