Chennai, Nov. 14 -- After a brief lull, the Northeast Monsoon rainfall activitywill intensify in the coming days, with several parts of Tamil Nadu like North,coastal, Cauvery Delta and southern districts expected to receive heavy showersin the next one week.
Chennai city, which has been witnessing blustery dinds, and its adjoining districtsof Chengalpattu, Kancheepuram and Tiiruvallur will experience heavy rains onNovember 17 and the weather office has issued an yellow alert on that day.
Met office sources said there was also a possibility of formation of a systemthat would result in intense rainfall activity.
