Hyderabad, July 27 -- BJP MLA Payal Shankar on Monday said the proposed Adilabad Joint User Airport would become a catalyst for the overall development of North Telangana, transforming Adilabad into a major industrial, logistics and tourism hub.
Addressing a press conference at the BJP state office, here, he said the airport project, to be developed jointly by the Ministry of Defence and the Airports Authority of India (AAI), involves an investment of around Rs 5,500 crore, including Rs 2,278 crore from the State government and Rs 3,000 crore from the Defence Ministry.
