Visakhapatnam, March 11 -- Adani Gangavaram Port Limited on Wednesday unveiled its Digital Smart Gates, an automated entry system for cargo vehicles described as a "DigiYatra-like" initiative for ports. The system is designed to enhance operational efficiency and streamline logistics at the Visakhapatnam facility.
The system was inaugurated by N. Sridhar, Principal Commissioner of Customs & CGST, in the presence of senior customs officials and port management at the facility in Visakhapatnam.
In a release, the Port said the digital gates have been implemented across key operational points including parking zones, entry gates, weighbridges and tarpaulin stations, enabling automated and contactless vehicle movement across the port.
