Mumbai, Aug. 26 -- Adani Energy Solutions Ltd (AESL) officially announced here on Wednesday that it has bagged a transmission project in Maharashtra with an estimated capital expenditure of around Rs 4,700 crore, to transmit renewable electricity generated in Karnataka to support pumped storage projects of up to 4,500 MW in Maharashtra.

The project will transmit renewable energy generated in Karnataka to Maharashtra and will also support the pumped storage ecosystem in the Satara, Pune and Mumbai Metropolitan Region, the company informed the stock exchanges in a regulatory filing.
