Bengaluru, April 22 -- Panchayat actor Vinod Suryavanshi has spoken about the continuing presence of caste discrimination and poverty in parts of Karnataka, saying that social inequality remains deeply rooted despite progress in several sectors.

He noted that marginalised communities still face barriers in everyday life. "Even today, in some places, people from certain communities are not allowed entry into temples," he said, adding that such practices reflect how caste divisions continue to influence social interactions.

Suryavanshi also highlighted the economic struggles faced by rural families. "Poverty is still very visible in many villages, and it affects access to education and basic opportunities," he observed.
