Chandigarh, Sept. 19 -- Bollywood actor and filmmaker Yashpal Sharma on Saturday called for uniform rules to address the portrayal of gun culture in music and cinema, saying it was wrong to single out an individual artist while similar content was being produced by others.

Speaking on the sidelines of a two-day international film festival at the State University of Performing and Visual Arts (SUPVA) in Rohtak, Sharma said restrictions, if considered necessary, should apply equally.

"Targeting one person is wrong," Sharma said. "If six or seven songs of the same artist are banned, it clearly looks like that person is being singled out. If the government wants to act, the rules should be the same for everyone."He did not name the artist whi...
