Thiruvananthapuram, Aug. 17 -- Malayalam actor and politician Devan has resigned from the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), alleging that the party's Kerala unit did not provide him adequate space to work and that senior leaders ignored his calls and messages.
Devan said the decision was not sudden and had been under consideration for the past five to six months. While stating that he had no major differences with the BJP at the national level, he said he had "many differences" with the Kerala unit and felt that its political approach did not align with his own.
