Dharamshala, Aug. 10 -- Activists have urged the authorities to safeguard the constitutional and democratic rights of Dharamshala MLA Sudhir Sharma, asserting that the people of the constituency had elected him as their representative and sent him to the state Assembly.
In a memorandum submitted to the authorities, the activists said their appeal was not intended to interfere with the lawful functioning of any police or investigative agency. Instead, they sought to ensure that the rule of law remained paramount and that criminal law was not used as a tool for alleged political vendetta.
