Panchkula, June 18 -- An active western disturbance is set to keep the western Himalayan region under the influence of rain and thundershower activity over the next several days, with the India Meteorological Department (IMD) forecasting widespread precipitation in Jammu & Kashmir and fairly widespread rainfall in Himachal Pradesh.
According to the seven-day forecast issued by the Regional Meteorological Centre (RMC), New Delhi, Jammu & Kashmir, Ladakh, Gilgit-Baltistan and Muzaffarabad are likely to witness widespread rainfall on June 18 and 19, followed by fairly widespread precipitation till June 22. Weather activity is expected to weaken gradually thereafter.
