Panchkula, July 25 -- The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has predicted a lively monsoon surge sweeping across north India, promising generous rainfall over Jammu & Kashmir and Himachal Pradesh, with new wet spells set to drench Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh and Delhi through August 1.
In the last 24 hours, heavy rain soaked most of Delhi and much of Punjab, while Haryana saw scattered showers, according to the Regional Meteorological Centre (RMC), New Delhi.
The IMD reported that rain and snowfall blanketed most areas of Jammu & Kashmir, Ladakh, Gilgit-Baltistan, Muzaffarabad and Himachal Pradesh. Meanwhile, Delhi experienced frequent rain and thundershowers, with Punjab and Haryana also seeing their share of stormy weather.
