Hyderabad, Oct. 1 -- Acrotech Biopharma Inc, , a subsidiary of Hyderabad based Aurobindo Pharma, on Thursday announced the launch of ADQUEY (difamilast 1%) ointment in the US for the treatment of mild-to-moderate atopic dermatitis in adults and children aged two years and above.
The non-steroidal topical phosphodiesterase 4 (PDE4) inhibitor is intended for patients with atopic dermatitis, a chronic inflammatory skin condition, the pharma company said in a release.
The product was originally discovered and developed by Otsuka Pharmaceutical Co Ltd and licensed to Acrotech Biopharma for commercialisation in the US.
The launch marks Acrotech's entry into the US dermatology market.
