New Delhi, Nov. 4 -- In view of departmental proceedings being contemplated against Assistant Commissioner of Police Manasvi Vashishta, the Ministry of Home Affairs has placed him under suspension, sources said.
The development comes after a group of police personnel, reportedly led by the officer concerned had gathered near the Delhi Police Headquarters on Monday, and raised concerns, demonstrating over the recent face- off with the lawyers that happened recently in Shahdara, following which two officers, including Vashishtha had been transferred.
Sources say that the Ministry took a serious view of the demonstration, reportedly led by Vashishta, which seems to have been viewed as a violation of discipline.
