Visakhapatnam, May 2 -- Andhra Pradesh Backward Classes Dedicated Commission Chairman and a retired IAS officer, Rajeev Ranjan Mishra on Saturday stressed that a comprehensive survey of Backward Classes (BCs) in the state must be conducted meticulously in line with guidelines laid down by the Supreme Court of India.
Chairing a review meeting at the GVMC main office here, Mishra said the Andhra Pradesh BC Dedicated Commission has been entrusted with conducting a rigorous empirical study to assess the nature, extent, and implications of backwardness among BC communities, particularly in the context of local bodies.
