Jaipur, Sept. 2 -- The Scientists of the American entity "Accel1" and officials of the Agriculture Department have claimed to have succeeded in inducing artificial rains by cloud seeding over the Ramgarh dam area near here Monday morning.
According to Accel1 spokesperson the scientists this morning began the first trial with high flying drone at the altitude of 2600 mtrs using half kg of Sodium Chloride for cloud seeding during 30-minute flight.
This first attempt - after seeking the Civil Aviation Ministry's permission for flying the drone at high altitude up to 10,000 mtr- has resulted in modest downpour of 0.8MM in half an hour long efforts, the spokesperson said.
