Srinagar, Sept. 21 -- The Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) Jammu and Kashmir has registered an FIR against a former branch head of J&K Grameen Bank, a business correspondent and others over alleged financial irregularities in the disbursement and adjustment of capital subsidies under the Prime Minister's Employment Generation Programme (PMEGP).
The case has been registered against Arvind Saini, the then Branch Head of J&K Grameen Bank, Branch Office Reban, Sopore, Baramulla, Firdous Ahmad Sheikh, Business Correspondent, and others.
According to the ACB, its verification found that Saini, allegedly in conspiracy with Sheikh and beneficiaries, prematurely released or reversed capital subsidy amounting to Rs 41.17 lakh in 25 PMEGP loan accounts ...
