Kolhapur, Jan. 20 -- Anti Corruption Bureau (ACB) officials arrested city engineer of Murgud Municipal Council in Kagal tehsil of this district, for accepting Rs 40,000 from the complainant to provide MB register of completed internal works of Hupari Nagapatishad of this district.
Arrested person is identified as Pradeep Pandurang Desai (32) and works as a city engineer at Murgud Municipal Council in Kagal tehsil of this district.
In a press release, complainant, a contractor, had completed internal work of Hupari Nagapatishad of this district and applied to city engineer Mr Desai for MB register for final payment, who had demanded Rs 1.50 lakh as bribe for giving MB register.
