Ranchi, Oct. 25 -- In the ongoing probe into the Jharkhand liquor scam, the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) has issued notices to two former Excise Secretaries including Manoj Kumar and Mukesh Kumar.

Both officers had successively served as Secretaries in the Excise Department after Vinay Kumar Choubey, whose role has been described as being at the centre of the alleged scam.

According to official sources, the investigation is focusing on the entire decision-making process during the formulation and implementation of the previous liquor policy, including the selection of placement agencies for liquor sales and the appointment of Arunpati Tripathi from Chhattisgarh as a consultant.
