Warangal, April 3 -- The Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB), Warangal Range, conducted a surprise check at the Sub-Registrar Office in Warangal (R.O.), Hanumakonda district, on Thursday, uncovering several irregularities.
During the inspection, officials found 20 unauthorised agents and document writers operating within the office premises. An unaccounted amount of Rs 47,450 and 70 unregistered documents were seized.
Verification of mobile phones belonging to document writers revealed WhatsApp chats with Sub-Registrar Officers (SRO-I) Jamalapuram Ramanarsimha Rao and (SRO-II) Davuluri Anand, indicating PhonePe transactions amounting to approximately Rs 42.03 lakh over the past year.
