Hyderabad, July 22 -- The Telangana Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) has registered a disproportionate assets (DA) case against Mutyam Venkata Ramana, Divisional Engineer of the Renewable Energy Development Corporation (REDCO), Khairatabad, Hyderabad, for allegedly amassing assets far beyond his known sources of income through corrupt practices.
As part of the investigation, ACB officials on Wednesday conducted searches at the officer's residence, office and seven other locations linked to his relatives, associates and alleged benamidars. The searches were carried out under provisions of Section 13(1)(b) read with Section 13(2) of the Prevention of Corruption Act, 1988, as amended in 2018.
