Chennai, May 20 -- As a part of the one-day nationwide strike called by the All India Organisation of Chemists and Druggists (AIOCD), about 40,000 medical shops downed their shutters in Tamil Nadu on Wednesday.

The association has given the strike call to oppose illegal online sale of medicines and predatory pricing by large corporate companies, etc.
